The meeting, at The Beach Hotel, will hear about the ambitions of the Coastal Community Team to make the mile-long stretch into an “Enterprising Esplanade.”
West Somerset Council was successful in bidding for funding for Minehead’s Coastal Community Team (CCT) to work up a plan to inject new vibrancy and vitality into the Esplanade.
Now the CCT, working with the Council, wants to hear people’s views on how to put the ideas into practice and would welcome attendance at Tuesday’s event that starts at 6.30pm.
Input from local businesses and traders would be particularly valuable as enterprise is at the heart of plans for the Esplanade.
Cllr Karen Mills, West Somerset Council’s lead member for regeneration and economic growth, said: “We were successful in our bid for funding to commission the report and now we have another bid for money to put some of the ideas into practice, so this is the ideal time for our community to get involved.
“We want to see Minehead’s economy grow and thrive and are working hard through our CCT to make this happen. It will be great if our businesses and residents get on board at the outset and this meeting is the ideal opportunity.”
