The new facilities include: four changing rooms, an umpire changing room, ladies’, gents’ and disabled toilets and a store. Club members raised £70,000 towards the £121,000 project. They also received funding from Sport England’s Inspired Facilities grant for £50,000 and £1,000 through developer contributions via West Somerset Council.
Cllr David Westcott, the council’s Lead Member for Community said: “The Club members should be congratulated for all their hard work in raising the £70,000 match funding for this project. Their efforts have been rewarded with the splendid new facilities.”
The Club has two adult league teams which play every Saturday; one male friendly team and one female friendly team which play 2/3 times a month; an Under-11s team, playing on Friday evenings and an Under-15s team, playing on Sunday mornings.
