Porlock Vale Housing Needs Survey

During January 2018, West Somerset Council will be working in partnership with Porlock Parish Council in conducting a survey to establish the need for affordable housing.
The survey is for local people who currently live in the Porlock Vale Parishes of Porlock, Oare, Selworthy and Minehead Without, who have family or employment in the Parishes or who can demonstrate a need to live in the Parishes. Surveys and a pre-paid envelope will be sent out during early January to all households within these Parishes (the Parishes of Luccombe and Wootton Courtenay will be surveyed separately in due course).
The results from the survey will help to plan for future affordable housing delivery and it is therefore important that you complete and return the survey form  if you are in housing need now or are likely to be within the next five years.  We have tried to keep the form as short as possible but need to gather as much information about the needs and affordability of households to ensure that the right level and type of housing is planned for.
If you require additional copies of the forms for anyone who has a need to live in the Vale of Porlock or where a number of households are currently living in the same house, if you have any queries or simply wish to discuss the survey, please contact Heather Crockford, Housing Enabling Lead at West Somerset Council either by telephone (01984 635297) or e-mail at hcrockford@westsomerset.gov.uk. Additional surveys can also be obtained from Porlock Parish Council, The Parish Room, The Old School Centre, Porlock where completed forms can also be left for returning.
We are also taking the opportunity to circulate copies of a short questionnaire on behalf of the Porlock Vale Coastal Community Team, the results of which will be used to inform a refresh of the Parish Plan originally written 10 years ago.

Please note that this questionnaire only can also be completed on-line at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PorlockVale There is a separate survey to collect the views of young people, aged 13-21, in Porlock Vale. This is available online at: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PorlockValeYouth.
